Kay retired from ABB (Asea Brown Broveri) after 30 years of service. As Director of Human Resources she was responsible for employee relations, labor relations including contract negotiations, public relations, employees services, legal compliance, policy and procedure, compensation and benefit design and staffing for approximately 400 employees. In addition to the Lewisburg Site, responsibilities also included locations in Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and England, domestic and international, over the 30 - year span. ABB, Process Analytics, with headquarters in Lewisburg, WV manufactures analytical instrumentation for world wide chemical and petrochemical industries.
She earned an associate degree in management wile attending night school at Bluefield State College and special classes at the University of Michigan in compensation, labor negotiations, and arbitration and many seminars.
